Among the shortest books of the New Testament, Jude nonetheless is packed with powerful teaching. The theme of Jude is "keeping your guard up". Jude details the actions of apostasy--counterfeit Christians. These individuals who false teachers who at one point confessed Christ as Lord but have turned or fallen away. The word apostasy comes from the Greek word for "depart". In this short book, Jude teaches us how apostates attack the church and pervert the faith.
