By the Book

Scriptures: Acts 2:41-47, Nehemiah 8, 2 Timothy 2:15, 1 Timothy 4:2, Hosea 8:12

The early church as detailed in Acts 2 lived "by the Book". They were committed to the Word of God. The modern Christian church does something every single time we come together in this church that literally billions of people do around the world when they go to their church that no other religion has ever done or does, at least on a consistent regular basis and that is to take the same book, in this case the Bible and preach a message from it. In this message, Dr. Merritt underscores the importance--the central and authoritative role--of God's Word, and how as we study and live out the Bible together, God uses His church to accomplish His purposes.
